Nailed together using square shank, forged heads  Redwood and Bay Laurel burl chest. Zebra wood stickers attached as rails. Hinges, hasp and handles are repro. hardware made in India. ;void(0)) This chest was created using rippled redwood for the body and lid. Recycled redwood decking was used for the stickers. Recycled copper straps from a local heating and air business. Hinges and handles are reproductions. ;void(0)) ;void(0)) The lid on this trunk is one piece of wood except for the end boards. Redwood sap wood was pulled from the outside of a log . The sides and bottom are curly grain redwood from Big Sur. This chest in now living in Alaska ;void(0)) font size="5" color="#000080">Redwood and Bay Laurel box w/rippled redwood bark top making this a very unique box. Bay Laurel box w/redwood burl base. Rippled redwood bark lid trimmed w/hammered copper. This trunk has found a home in Texas.  This box sits in the store as of Feb. 2nd 2009. The sides,front and back are from a 680 year old redwood from Watsonville. The top is Redwood lace burl that was cut over 70 years ago. All the hardware except the lock is reproduction solid bronze. The stickers are Zebra wood scraps from a fine furniture maker (Roger Combs). The lock was given to me by an artist Vickie Greene.  This is one of nine boxes that were made for the Machado's of Cambria, Ca.  Custom made to order for Bill and Marylen Machado. The Machado's are owners of nine one of a kind boxes from Moonstone Redwood. ;void(0)) The Machado's custom ordered five of these tissue box holders ;void(0)) ;void(0)) This redwood box is one of five new boxes created June 2009 and are in the gallery now. ;void(0)) ;void(0)) California Bay Laurel box with a rippled redwood bark lid. I do not believe that I have ever seen a chest shaped like this one.
